ACOFI is presenting a development project for the Dakhla region in southern Morocco, aimed at institutional investors, businesses and operators interested in exploring opportunities in the infrastructure, energy, industry, logistics, agriculture and tourism sectors. The initiative forms part of the economic growth plan promoted by the Kingdom of Morocco and aims to foster dialogue between public and private partners for the development of medium- to long-term projects.
The Dakhla region is one of the areas of greatest strategic importance for Morocco’s economic development. In recent years, the region has gained increasing international significance thanks to the consolidation of geopolitical stability and the investment programmes promoted by Moroccan institutions.
Growth prospects extend to a number of sectors, including:
- civil and industrial infrastructure;
- energy production and distribution;
- port logistics and transport;
- urban and residential development;
- health and education;
- agriculture and agribusiness;
- fishing and food processing;
- tourism and accommodation.
The initiative aims to encourage the formation of partnerships between institutional investors, businesses and public bodies interested in participating in the development programmes planned for the area.
Attached is the preliminary development study, drawn up by Engineer Bernardino Federico, concerning the project to develop the Dakhla area (Morocco). The document sets out the main strategic guidelines, development opportunities and design options under consideration.
